How can we help?
TPTB is an online store based in Melbourne, Australia.
Absolutely. Our candles are made to be lit and enjoyed, or kept on display for decorative purposes. It’s up to you.
The burn time of our candles varies between each candle. On the product page of your desired candle, please refer to the burn time listed when making your selection.
Currently the only scented candle brand that we stock is Amoln. The rest are unscented as their beauty resides in their form.
Candle Care
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Do not burn your candle on or near anything prone to catching alight. Ensure to position your candle in a clear area, flammable-free zone. We also recommend using a heatproof tray while burning our candles. Always keep candles out of reach from children and pets.
The question on everyone’s lips.
Make no mistake: burning candles is an art form.
For free-standing candles, things are a little more simple:
Light that wick and go. We recommend using a heat proof tray and burning the candle for no longer than 4 hours at a time.
For candles crafted in a vessel, like Amoln, follow the following steps:
During the first burn, let the entire top layer of wax liquify before blowing out the flame to avoid the candle tunnelling for future burns.
If your wick has mushroomed and is producing smoke or high flame, the candle wick is too long. Trim mindfully with a wick trimmer and ensure it’s no longer than 3mm before each burn.
We advise that you do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
After blowing your candle out, gently re-center and straighten the wick.
Be careful not to burn the candle right to the bottom, leave at least 5mm of wax to be safe.
Once the wax has cooled after its last burn you can place the candle in the freezer. This will make the wax easy to remove, then you can repurpose the vessel.
